Mackenzie Gershom, OD, is a licensed and residency trained optometrist. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Then, she attended the Ohio State University College of Optometry and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. After graduation, Dr. Gershom completed her residency in ocular disease with an emphasis in cornea and contact lenses at Columbus Ophthalmology Associates.
Dr. Gershom has an interest in specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses, and soft prosthetic/cosmetic lenses for conditions including Keratoconus, Pellucid Marginal Degeneration, corneal scars, Salzmann Nodular Degeneration, aniridia, dry eye, and more. Dr. Gershom is certified to fit MiSight soft contact lenses for myopia control to help slow the progression of nearsightedness in children. Dr. Gershom fits a wide range of contact lenses and is dedicated to helping you if you have failed or had difficulty with contacts in the past due to dryness, poor vision, having a high amount of astigmatism, etc. Aside from contact lenses, Dr. Gershom has an interest in the treatment and management of dry eye. She understands the difficulty of failed treatment and looks forward to trying to help you find some relief.
